X-1 CORNER BEAD
This is the standard accessory for providing exterior corner protection and providing a reliably straight ground for screeding. The 3" expanded mesh wings are easily flexed to adapt to framing irregularities and to match appropriate screed heights. Furnished in galvanized steel and zinc (99% pure zinc) alloy. Weight per 1000 lineal feet, galvanized, 185 Lbs.; zinc weight, 160 lbs.

X-1 and X-2 Corner Beads for outside corners have a smooth round nose bead with Diamond Mesh wings for the keying of plaster right up to the nose of the bead.

This mesh insures a perfect bond and provides effective reinforcement where most needed. Especially recommended in fireproofing columns and beams. Rigid straight edge nose is easy to install and permits plumb straight outside corners. Excellent protection for corridor corners exposed to traffic.

AMICO X-1 Corner Bead is manufactured with a 3-inch flange and is available in both galvanized steel and zinc. Sections can be joined or spliced together by inserting a finishing nail or a piece of hangar wire.

X-1 Cornerbead is used to reinforce and protect outside corners. Creates a straight clean edge and protects the edge from damage due to bumping.

• Refer to ASTM C1063 for support spacing, lath selection, fastener selection and further information regarding the proper installation of metal lath.
• ASTM and most codes require hot dipped galvanized lath for all exterior applications.
• AMICO recommends the use of zinc or vinyl beads for all exterior applications.
